Short Term Courses

Please visit the Suzuki Association of the Americas Official Site for information about our SAA Approved Teacher Training Programs, including application process, video tape application form, sequence of study, and admission requirements. All audition materials must be submitted to SAA by June 1, 2008 to qualify for IMF Teacher Training credit.
No audition is required for Every Child Can!

NOTE THAT THE ABOVE SCHEDULED TIMES ARE FOR CLASS SESSIONS; OBSERVATIONS OF STUDENTS CLASSES AND RECITALS WILL BE DONE AT OTHER HOURS.

Required prerequisites
Unit 1 -  Every Child Can!
Unit 2 -  ECC, Units 1A and 1B, or unit 1. 
Unit 3 -  ECC, Units 1 and 2.
Unit 4 -  ECC, Units 1, 2, and 3
 
NOTE; IF YOU ARE NOT TAKING ONE OF THESE TEACHER TRAINING COURSES AS AN AUDITOR AND NOT REGISTERING IT WITH THE SAA, THE COST IS STILL THE SAME, BUT YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO TAKE THE COURSES IN THE ORDER AS LISTED ABOVE.

Anyone registering for Suzuki teacher training must be a current SAA member and submit proof of previous unit registrations, or confer with teacher trainer regarding previous training.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT THE MARRIOT COURYARD HOTEL; MONDAY  THROUGH FRIDAY CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT THE BAY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
 
Meals will be available at the Marriott Hotels and available for purchase in the church dining hall Monday-Friday. Also, one may purchase meal plans for the dining hall at the church (see Housing/Meals for details).  If you choose, you may have your meals at local restaurants.

 

Please note the required process for applying to take short-term Suzuki teacher training courses. Applicants may take SAA Unit courses as a participant or auditor. To qualify as a participant, and therefore be able to register the unit with the SAA, you must submit a videotape along with an application form and fee to the SAA office at least 8 weeks prior to the training. PLEASE REQUEST AN APPLICATION FORM AND DETAILS BY CALLING 215-321-7811 OR BY LOGGING ON TO WWW.SUZUKIASSOCIATION.ORG Deadline for submission of tape for this Institute is a May 22, 2007 postmark.

To register units with the SAA, you must complete the course requirements as a participant and be a current, active SAA member. Observations can be accomplished at the Festival or later.

If you do not wish to register the course with the SAA or submit a video tape, you may take the course as an auditor.
