IMF 2008
Bay Village, Ohio

Presented by
The Marriott Hotels of Westlake, Ohio, and the
Bay Presbyterian Church

Baypres5.jpg

The church features outstanding conference-like facilities that include the main sanctuary that holds 800 people and has magnificent instruments - a large pipe organ, a Steinway grand piano, harps, harpsichord and others. A separate auditorium holds several hundred people and also has a Steinway grand piano and other instruments. An auditorium has a stage for our concerts and stage productions. Some of the concerts and other events will be held also in the sanctuary. Bay Presbyterian has eleven classrooms and teaching studios, each with pianos. There are also several other rooms without pianos. Another auditorium is available for rehearsals and classes.  Meals will be provided in the church/conference center dining hall. The beautiful buildings are modern and surrounded by pastoral landscaping and are mostly air conditioned; there is plenty of parking space. The church and its conference center are situated right on Lake Erie agains the picturesque backdrop of beautiful Bay Village (see below) and is only about 15 minutes from both downtown Cleveland and the Cleveland International Airport.

The festival is being presented with housing by local families and two local MARRIOTT HOTEL/CONFERENCE CENTERS (The Courtyard and TownePlace Suites in Westlake). Shuttle service will be provided between the hotels and the church. Both of the hotels are within walking distance of the church.   Though the church is Presbyterian, it welcomes people of all faiths, races, and backgrounds.  The arts are an integral part of the church's activities and include classical music, video clips, drama team presentations, and even an artist painting on a canvas at services.  The Festival is non-sectarian and is open to all.

For more information, see the section on this website for housing and meals.

The City of Bay Village, Ohio is a warm and welcoming community of approximately 17,000 residents located 15 miles west of Cleveland along five miles of Lake Erie's wooded southern shore. Bay Village residents enjoy a multitude of recreational and cultural opportunities, which have created a close-knit residential community. It is near enough to the pulse of Cleveland with quick and convenient access to first-class museums, the world-famous Cleveland Orchestra, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Indians and Browns games, but just far enough off the beaten path to offer the peace, privacy, and comfort of suburban living. Bay Village boasts a highly educated and professional population and a quality school system, making it one of the most desirable residential suburbs of Cleveland.   Bay Village is conveniently located only 15 min. from the Cleveland International Airport.
