Scenes from the Disney musical THE LION KING will be staged and performed at the final student concert on Sunday at 4:30 PM. Dr. Robert Hauck of Dallas, Texas will coach the vocal selections as well as stage the numbers. Dr. Hauck staged the full version of this musical for the Cincinnati school system; also, he in 2010 presented a condensed version at the International Music Festival in Cleveland Ohio. This was a stunning production with sets and magnificent costumes. Certainly, staging scenes at our Spring Festival will be as exciting. The production will have beautiful costumes and make-up. Students are required to register for both Saturday and Sunday as well as for the 4 to 7 PM class on Friday. Parents of students are also asked to participate at no extra charge. The course meets for three hours daily and will count as three courses on the registration form. And because of the Friday extra class, there is an additional charge of $60 per registrant. Music will be mailed to registrants on receipt of the their registration forms. It is expected that the registrants will memorize the selections before the start of the classes. The 2010 IMF family "The Circle of Life" featured scenes and song selections from the Broadway musical, "THE LION KING,". It was a stellar performance complete with sets and costumes brought

from a previous production directed by Dr. Hauck. In celebration of the 25th year of IMF, the final presentation of "The Circle of Life" was a full hour on Friday night, accompanied by a chamber

ensemble of parents and IMF faculty.

Auditions for leads will be held Sunday morning at 11 AM. In order to audition for these parts, one must learn from memory the solo songs that will be mailed to you in late June. All other parts will be assigned at the first class on Monday.

Fee for local families only and if not taken as a full festival registrant:
$125 PER FAMILY;
