I AM APPLYING FOR A ____WORK-STUDY GRANT; _____SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD SCHOLARSHIP; _____.TALENT SCHOLARSHIP.
Rules: 1) Work study grants are for a parent who is willing to help out during the week of the festival (book store,
registration desk, errands, information table, etc.) or to assist the director or coordinators in weeks before the festival.
Reimbursement will be $10 per hour to be subtracted from your family's tuition cost.
2) The special child scholarship is presented in memory of faculty member Robert Fraley. These scholarships are for students
who are handicapped in some way.(physically, emotionally or mentally). When applying, include detailed information about
the student, and if possible, a doctor
or other specialist summary of the student's condition;
3) For the Talent scholarship, send (A) a letter of recommendation from the student's teacher, (B) a DVD or video tape
recording of a selection (any classical movement or piece or popular selection, memory required, up to 10 minutes in length,
(C) a biography of the student, listing age, school, grade, special honors. (D) a paragraph written by the student applicant
describing why he/she loves music and wants to attend the festival. Be sure to include your name, address, e mail address,
and phone number. Scholarships are based on funds that are available through IMF fundraising. Amounts will be partial, except
for one full tuition scholarship that will be offered by Carriage House Violin Company.
