IMF MOVES TO THE EAST COAST and TO CENTRAL
FLORIDA FOR ITS 26TH YEAR with two events in 2012 registration deadlines - early registration
(5% discount) February 23; regular dealine March 1 (5% late charge after then)
The 26th Annual International Music Festival will offer a SPRING FESTIVAL NEAR
PRINCETON NJ and a FALL FESTIVAL IN CENTRAL FLORIDA NEAR DISNEY WORLD
The SPRING FESTIVAL will be held at Rider University, Lawrenceville NJ,
approximately 60 miles from New York City, 40
miles from Philadelphia and 5 miles from Princeton and Trenton. The dates are March 16 eve through March 18 eve, 2012 The WINTER FESTIVAL will
be held at a convention center/hotel near Disney World in CENTRAL FLORIDA. This will be in November 2012, (more
details to be published later.) Both events are sponsored by International Music Festivals of the Americas, a not-for-profit
corporation. Both will be for traditional as well as students of other methods (such as Suzuki, Dalcroze, Orff,
Kodaly and various modern piano approaches) and will include courses and events for students of all ages and their
families, as well as for teachers. Both will , as the past festivals have, continue to emphasize music, art, drama and
sports with courses that introduce various international approaches. Instruction in a wide variety of instruments will
be offered. The picture at the left is of the Yvonne Theatre in the Rider U Fine Arts Building. It is one of three
concert halls that the IMF Spring Festival will be utilizing.
BOTH FESTIVALS WILL LAST THREE DAYS OVER A WEEKEND and will offer **instruction in music, art, sports, and drama.
**Lessons and group classes will be offered in strings,
piano, flute, and harp **Enrichment courses will include options in music history, theory, art, karate and drama.(scenes from Lion King) **Featured will be student and
faculty recitals. **Special courses for teachers and
parents will be offered.
The International Music Festival was founded in 1985 by Dr. Ray Landers and has taught thousands of students from
all over America, Canada and other countries. The festivals are family oriented events that are unique in their offerings.

To give an idea of festival offerings, the website includes pictures from our
recent festivals in the mid west as well some pictures re the current Spring Festival.
SPECIAL EVENTS for the SPRING FESTIVAL: Friday evening -
recital by renowned artists Clipper Erickson, piano
and Stanley Chepatis, violin and selected outstanding students. Saturday morning - faculty recital.
Saturday evening - outstanding students in concerto performances with orchestra. Sunday afternoon - student recitals
with play in performances and selections from The Lion King.

FACILITIES include concerts in Rider University's Bart Luedeke Center Theater,
Yvonne Theater, and Gill Chapel and classes and lessons in the Fine Arts Building and other buildings. For those who
wish, LUNCH will be available both Saturday and Sunday in the beautiful new Rider Dining Hall. And DINNER will
be available on Saturday. Rider University offers a beautiful pastoral campus with many new buildings and a lake on campus.
OUT OF TOWN registrants may stay in the MARRIOT SPRINGHILL SUITES in nearby Ewin/Princeton South at special festival discount
rates. For those who wish to stay longer, note that the Princeton area offers many unique cultural aspects such as Princeton
University, museums, concert halls, art colonies, and historical monuments. Nearby are Philadelphia and New York City with

REGISTRATION:
Students may attend either or both Saturday and Sunday's events. Or they may just attend one or more of the concerts
on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All registered students are invited to participate in the student recital on Sunday
afternoon from 4 to 6 PM. For the honors student performances on Friday evening and Saturday evening, there will be
an DVD audition. See details below in the main text. Deadline for registration and audition tapes is February
23. Those who register by February 23 will receive a 5 per cent discount. *Parents and family members are encouraged to attend with their children who register.
