What is IMF?

Founded in 1985 by Dr. Ray Landers, the Festival is a family-oriented music, theatre, arts and sports camp for all ages and interests. Following the belief of Shinichi Suzuki that "all children can be educated" and the belief of numerous educators that "music is a necessary luxury for man," the Festival strives to be an international leader in music and other arts education. It offers quality programs that are intended to help each participant become more compassionate, intelligent, caring and cooperative. Its continual emphasis is to provide an environment that will remind everyone of the important role of the arts in a healthy society

ABOUT THE WEEK

The International Music Festival and Cleveland Suzuki Institute is a Week-Long Family Arts Experience. All events are family-friendly. Children are required to be under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult at all times. Parents or guardians are expected to attend lessons and classes with their children. Students ages 13 and older may register for the teen program. These teens will be under the supervision of teen counselors.
